Its not outside the realm of possibility that they will introduce another melee character, but it just seems redundant with barbarian already in play and no summoner in sight. Personally, if they are gonna bring in a class from D3 like the Witch Dr, I'd like to see something new from the summoner class. Which is just as much a staple to this series as any of the rest of these. We already have a melee, caster, archer, and shifter class available with two of these classes going back to D1. The other reason I don't think the final class is a paladin or melee class is because in a lot of ways, d4 is returning to its roots. So a paladin as the next class would either be extremely limited by comparison or changed beyond recognition. In D3, you had 6 skills that could essentially compliment each other and with the right gear could synergize into a build. With d2 only really allowing for two skills at a time, its gameplay is much more limited in scope than D3 or D4. It was essentially a melee class with a few powers and passives for the most part. The paladin in D2 was a fan and personal favorite, but it was also very limited to diablo 2 gameplay restrictions. Last updated at 14:00:17 UTC Weekly Help Desk RAGE Loot Thread Trade Thread
